Anyone using the scent crusher duffle bags? Reviews on this product are good but 199 for a duffle bag! Thanks for your thoughts.

I got one week of Thanksgiving used it the following week in Illinois not once did I get busted from downwind deer. Defintiely worth the money, the bag is huge seems very durable and can fit a lot in it.

No way I'd pay that for a bag but to each their own. Not saying that it doesn't work at all; in fact I think the ozone stuff has some merit to it. I just think we make it harder than it has to be sometimes. I haven't been busted all year and haven't done anything out of the norm of scent free soap, deodorant, and some spray. I did try some evercalm and had deer literally licking the branches it was on under my stand in Kentucky.

Back to the point though. You can make your own version of that scent crusher box for half what that bag cost: I know Squeaky on here made one and others may have as well; maybe they will chime in.

I bought a portable closet from amazon for about $30 and one of the whitetail'r scent purge 50 units for $40. Definitely cheaper than scent crushers closet for 299 and does the same job. I went with the closet so the ozone could circulate better as opposed to wadding everything up in the bag.

I have the purge unit and the bag, I use both and am very pleased with results that I get. Last year was first year using the crusher bag and I killed 2-8pt and a 10pt in Alabama (pretty good year!).

I think Scent-Lok has a product just like that for $99 or so. I still use an unscented trash bag with an unscented dryer sheet in it. Works ok for me smile

I just have a plastic tote that i carry around all my hunting clothes in with those earth scent wafers in it. Everything in there smells like dirt every time i open it.

I am currently using the plastic tote method. My lab goes everywhere with me so at all times dog hair is a problem.

If any of guys are interested in Scent Crusher products I'd check into making your own. I made my own plastic tote similar to what they make and sale. I have less than $100 in mine and they want $300+ for their tote. I will say it works and another tool, however it's not 100%. I especially like my set up for out of state hunting trips where a washer and dryer may not be convenient.

I bought my Ozone unit off amazon for $80 and tote at Walmart. The tote is big enough I keep my back pack and clothing in there I plan to use on that particular hunt. I treat it with ozone for 15 min before and after each hunt.

I do the same as squeaky except I bought the whitetail R 50 ozone unit and use it in my plastic box.

I store a lot of my hunting gear in a chest type deep freezer that quit on us a couple years ago. I put a dehumidifier and a whitetail'r ozone generator in it. It works great when you buy something new and you want to get rid of the new or chemical smell.

Here is a link to the ozone unit I bought, however it's out of stock. This ozone unit puts out the same amount of ozone as the scent crushers ozone unit. I found an article online that gave the specifications on their unit.

As for the tote I bought at Walmart it is a big black one on wheels with a red pull handle. Looks almost identical to the tote scent crusher has on the market. Here is a pic of there tote in the link. Walmart offers the same tote.
