While we all want to honor the hunter for his skill in killing the buck, and he is certainly due all the accolades he gets, let's not forget where the real skill lies in that picture. The real skill is in the buck that walked around, fed, bred and grew on public land for 8 1/2 years without getting shot. That is an amazing feat.
Or worse yet, hit & killed by a car. (It would probably be an old Chevy Chevette that got him).
