Ones I've seen are some kinda fine. Clear , not too heavy and the dot without a battery is great. I'd own one if they had a little heavier reticle.
I don't understand your reasoning there. My only reason for a heavy reticle would be low light visibility. Wouldn't the tritium make that a non issue?
Easy, in thick timber even in bright sun light, I can see them and get on a deer quick. The lighted dot would be good about the last 10 minutes of legal light in timber.
I like a heavy duplex with thick, black center section, period.
I wouldn't burn the light in daylight, I just want "cross hairs" I can see.
