I'm in their buyer's club, and I had ordered one of these neat little wood heaters on November 8 for $107.99, member price. Get an e-mail yesterday they had marked them down $36.00 to $71.99. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/i...CFVE7gQodFLwKTwPissed ain't the word. I called them up and e-mailed them and they finally put the 36 skins back in my account. They DO have a price match within 30 days, but you have to ask for it. It's still a good little heater.

So you are pissed because they put something on sale after you bought it AND gave you money back down to that price? What were they supposed to do, call everybody who has ever bought anything and send them money. You were obviously satisfied with the price when you bought it.

I was PO'd ONLY before I got a refund. I'm back down to 119/70 right now. Color me happy.

I want one for my shop how big of a space would it heat. I can't tell you for sure, but the description says it will heat a 14' x 20' TENT. The firebox is a fraction bigger than 11" W x 17" L x 11"H. The chimney is welded steel oddball size 3 3/8" diameter, but from the floor to the chimney top is only about 6 1/2 feet tall. 15 inch long stovewood maybe 4" x 4" is about perfect for it. The heater IS heavier duty than I thought it would be, though, and you CAN cook on it.

I have been wanting one of these for a while. So I just pulled the trigger... I found and bought a pair of cast iron bottom grates that fit perfectly inside to keep the wood off the bottom of it and let air circulate a little around it. You'll need 2, and these measure 5 3/8" x 11" each for an exact fit. PM me if you want the foundry info I bought them from.

I deal with this occasionally at work, since I work in sales. Customer buys something for normal price. Later down the road, the product goes on sale for one reason or another, customer finds out and gets pissed, thinks we're just trying to screw him over.
Doesn't matter what the product is, if a company EVER puts it on sale, there will always be someone that purchased it previously at the regular price. That's what a "sale" is - selling something cheaper than it was previously sold for. That's awesome that they refunded you the difference, but even if they hadn't, I just don't understand getting angry over it. It's just business. To get mad over that is totally irrational.

Yeah, you're right. I reckon I'm an ass-clown for even bringing it up. But 36 bucks, man.

I said getting angry over it was irrational, but I never claimed to be a rational person. I've been on the buying end of it before with hunting gear. It sucks, but it's just part of business. That's cool that they refunded the difference. That's a tank of gas.

I should have titled it "Lemme tell ya what Woody pulled." Yep, the lady was more than glad to help and it only took a minute.
