For the money you can't beat a sale priced craftsman 18 volt deal. Sometimes you can get one with 2 batteries and charger for less than $100 on sale. I bought a new 18v hammer drill with a bad battery in Scottsboro at a catalog returns store for around $30 to go with my 3 or 4 batteries and regular drill. I have driven lots of 3" screws in a shooting house with a single charge.
