Busted a bunch of deer going in this morn. Then at 8:15 had a doe come by and at 8:45 another doe walked up 15' from us and was staring Stephen down. I thought it was a squirrel till I looked over and it hauled butt. He was excited as crap after that so it was a good morning for us.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I just warmed a can of hot and spicy viennas up on my heater and had a 4 pack of nutter butters. Im going to get a big 3 finger dip and all will be right with the world Hope you also got a roll of toilet paper....

Whew! My doe was at 150 yards when I shot her. She weighed 125# and made it 80 yards down a hill into the cutover. Emmett shot his in the neck and dropped her in her tracks 40 yards from his stand out in a cutover. She weighed 120#. Guess I used my truck as a decoy. I was parked to my left around a curve about 350 yards from the stand. The doe I shot was looking at my truck when I plugged her with the .300WM.  I'm back at the house now. Going to go ahead and knock the brake job out on my wife's Highlander.

I'm gonna head out in an hour. We don't have many pics of deer this year, but I will get some reading done. It's good to be outside. Maybe I'll roll up a yote, I'd like that.

Darn I should've gone. Didn't get to hunt much and had family and friends running all around my land this whole holiday weekend. So I decided to fill up some land and get a few small plots in ahead of this rain. Come on baby!
