I'm thinking of getting the LEM improved big bite #8.

I've been very happy with the Kitchenmaid grinder attachment. I have this far processed 25 deer with mine, with roughly 50% of each deer being ground. I do not remove sinew or silver skin/fat and it does great. At $40 bucks I don't think you can beat it if you already have a stand mixer in your house.

As far as bags, I've been very happy with the ziplock brand vacuum seal bags. They come with a hand pump that is similar to a basketball pump and the bags are pre cut. I'm way faster with it than I was with my old foodsaver. They may have improved but I had many food savers over the years, they would last about 1.5 years and then die.

I believe we bought a LEM big bite. #8. Me and a buddy split the cost of a grinder and a mixer. And we take a long afternoon or a day and do several at a time then split the meat.

Have an Oster brand bought 30 years ago for $80. Only use for occasional use. You can get a lot for $200 -300, so get a better one. Will pay for itself after 2-3 deer.

I also use a 30 year old oster, the grinder pin is gone so I have to hold a drill bit in to keep it from breaking a wrist. It takes us {two people} about 3to4 hours to totally package a deer, so taking it to a processor is worth it sometimes.
