Bullet theory is the most logical. Although, if you look at the aerial, the stand our basically surrounded by fields. I realize there's a tree line behind it, but I wouldn't think, even a tall tree would conduct or collect a build-up of electricity like the metal tripod would. Therefore it's basically a metal tower surrounded by fields. That helps the lightning theory. I really don't think that's what happened, but, you can bet I'd give it some thought the next time I was hunting it and a bad cloud blew up..
