We can shoot at a deer, and a tree limb deflects bullets, but its gonna keep on digging and not deflect off steel..
if the bullet is falling fast enough to bend down the expanded metal but not enough to catch the inside corner OR the glob of weld AND then hit the other side, this very well may be an assassination attempt. Behold the magic bullet!!
