Who y'all think would be next Bama coach? It's just a what if. I always thought Kirby would be next guy but not now.

How would like trying to follow this act up?? Virtually impossible for the next coach when the time does come. Dabo would get a strong look. Kirby would NOT. Urban?? Just me but I've always liked the Michigan St. coach.

Saban recommended LSU hire miles when he left LSU. Might do the same when he leaves Bama

Pretty sure Dabo would be the primary target.

If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

I just hope it is 8 or 10 years before he retires. I'll be a dementia nut by then and won't care.

I agree but that was not the question. Perception by the hirers would be a problem. I like Dabo because of some off the field non-football stuff. But this is coaching in the SEC, not ACC. Doesn't matter who it is, they will be a step down on coaching and winning from Saban at this point. Brent, surely you wouldn't suggest experimenting with a HS coach. I think that ongoing test is starting to show patterns and flaws.

I wonder if when the time comes he'll have a coach in waiting type thing. Can't say I've ever seen that work out except for FSU. I can't see it working at Bama.

Good question, although Saban is a good foot shorter than Bear was, his shadow would be just as tall. If it were up to me I would buy Jon Gruden, he's been there-done that & the pressure wouldn't bother him. He's also got a mean streak that won't quit & thats what the Bama players need.

I think there has been some talk of Kiffin going to Texas.. maybe wishful thinking on some part of Kiffin haters but nothing in stone.

Saban is fixing to tie Bears record of National Championships. I don't think he is going anywhere any time soon. Unless its to the NFL someday. He seems quite happy in ALABAMA.

I've always heard Petersen is a Scientologist. I don't think that would fly very well in SEC country.
