That's a lightning strike. Look at the expanded metal. There is damage in two places, plus the main hole. It appears there is a curling side like the metal heated and curled while cooling. No one bullet could have done damage in the solid tubing and slightly damaged the platform. This is a great argument for bailing out when it's going to rain.
