They put themselves in harms way. They left the US and were allies with a KNOWN enemy. The minute they left US soil to join a group of FANATICS that attack US citizens, soldiers and/or property, they became the enemy. I took an oath to defend this country against all ENEMIES foreign and domestic. They were the enemy causing deaths and destruction, they were on the receiving end of that oath, administered by other oath takers.
