You sound like a bunch of tree hugging liberals. The SOB was a terroist, he recurited terroists. You know, the people killing our soldiers and chomping at the bit to kill Americans here. This line of thinking is why our military's got damn hands are so tied up now, this exact line of thinking.
Ron Paul's supporters are largely military personnel on active duty.
Ron Paul is not only currently the only candidate running for president who is a military veteran�he is also the candidate most popular with the military. Reports USA Today:
�GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul consistently has said that the United States should get out of Afghanistan and Iraq and that American military bases around the world should be closed. In this campaign, Paul is getting more donations from people who work for the military than either President Obama or any of the other Republican presidential candidates.�
The size of our debt continues to call into question America�s habit of trying to be the world�s policeman. Paul has been asking this question longer and louder than virtually anyone.
If it is the soldier�s job to do his duty, it is the citizen�s job to question whether their government is putting America�s best and bravest in harm�s way for good reason. Sadly, too often we give the same government we rightly criticize domestically the benefit of the doubt when it comes to our actions abroad.
There�s a world of difference between national defense and an irrational offense and it is America�s soldiers who understand the hardship of war the most. It�s no surprise that they also continue to cheer the one candidate who has always represented their interests the best.
