Talk to your state senators and representatives. Ask them why Alabama hunters should be excluded from a required public comment period and review process when decisions related to hunting seasons and bag limits are being considered.
Explain to them how special interest groups such as AWF, QDMA and ALFA are strongly influencing how our seasons and bag limits are being set for qdm purposes instead of the purposes defined by our game and fish laws.
Explain to them that some of the state biologists within the Department of Conservation who are heavily envolved with these groups with their qdm agendas are being relied on for their biased opinions instead of unbiased biologists who do not have a qdm agenda to support.
Explain to them that the separation of powers clause in our state Constitution was placed there to protect against the executive branch of government assuming the powers of both the legislative branch and the executive branch to the end that we may have "a government of laws and not of men".
