Anyone got one or used one? If so, are they worth buying?

I have one.

It's nice for running.

My fear is I'll turn my head and the wind will rip it off. It never has but that's my concern. You also still have the noise from the outboard in your ears but less wind noise damaging them.

Helmets have drawbacks as well.

I've about decided a good set of sunglasses, clean cotton cloth to wipe off any bugs and some ear plugs or muffs are the easiest route.

I got one for Christmas a couple of years back. I haven't used it much. I usually wanna wear it when it's cold. However, it seems to fog up internally almost every time.

I wear a pair of safety glasses in the AM and sun glasses the rest of the day.

I wear my Costa sunglasses while running down the creeks, but everytime I have been out this year, my eyes have watered from the wind to the point that I can't see and have to stop the boat and wipe my eyes. I thought of getting one, until I saw the prices on them. I'm thinking of getting a cheaper, paintball mask and trying it out. I've never seen a Fish Hedz mask but they don't look too much different than a paintball mask. And you can get them for about $20.

I love mine. I have the black Triton one. I've got to get one for my partner because everybody who fishes with me steals it when it's cold or rainy. Worth the money in my opinion.

I bought a helmet, even though I have a duel console, I still wear it. It really helps when I go as a no-boater and the boater has a single console.. a real face saver.

I've got a couple of helmets for the boat now, and they work great. The only thing with the helmets is that they take up too much space....

the best combination I found was a windproof balaclava and ski goggles. However, I've managed to let both blow out of my boat, so I use my helmet.

If you're driving the boat, they would be SOL.

I've got an older save phace and it does tend to fog up, but my brother bought one about two weeks ago and they have changed the foam on the inside and it seals better around your face and it doesn't fog up. Absolutely worth the money to me.
