I can't help ugly I was born this way but I'm definitely not a outlaw!

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

Do what? For not having a copy of his lease? And I can't see lowndes wardens using beagles for that purpose, might be wrong but seems kinda far fetched

Said they were having a field day with people hunting over yellow plots last weekend. I'm printing a copy of my lease for this weekend.

I suspect that they will continue to write a ton of those tickets this year. Most folks won't have green plots to hunt over so they will be hunting over the yellow ones.

you have to have something that says you have permission to be on that property

I agree...keep your friends close and your enemies closer...lol

BTW - The game warden has more rights than just about any law enforcement officer. He can do just about anything he wants. Piss him off and he will make it a point to exercise those rights...

They are just doing their jobs. I've seen them on camera several times. I would rather have them around than not!

Incorrect. He has no more authority than any other LEO that might be investigating a wildlife crime. The difference is it is a rarity for deputies or police to need to check your game bag for game, but they could if they were investigating a game crime. I can enforce all state laws as they can also. We go by the same rules. I can arrest you for night hunting and they can arrest you for Public Intoxication. It is just different areas of concentration of our enforcement efforts.

You can't enter private property without a warrant though, correct? They can and do, even if they don't have a tip or reason.

partially incorrect Jawbone....add a WMA to the mix and the search parameters go out the window. I think this is where a lot of folks get the idea that GWs have a much greater search power than all other LEOs....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

but they have no jurisdiction restrictions do they? I was always under impression while they are assigned a county, they have border to border state wide jurisdiction.

Most Al GWs also have Fed GW status, allowing them to go into immediate surrounding states for Fed violations...although I have never known one to do so.

Most GWs are assigned a county, but have statewide authority...they are State Police Officers just as are Troopers. They have exactly the same police powers with one exception...on state WMAs a GW can search your truck just because it is on the WMA. No other reason needed.

That's not going to happen without someone willing to prosecute you for hunting without permission or at least someone complaining that you aren't supposed to be there.

Any LEO can. Read up on the Open Field Doctrine to understand this. I can go anywhere (any land) without a warrant except a building or its curtilage. This includes fenced and gated. No difference as wide open.

Troy, true, I never consider the WMA regulations since I never hunt on one, nor enforced a law on one, but I understand the concept since it is state property and they are letting you hunt there, they make the rules.

Never gotten a picture of one but had one clear two weeks worth of pictures one time off my camera on a feeder. No stand nor did I even hunt anywhere near it. Found where he walked the same tracks out as he did in then I got checked 3 days later on the opposite end of the property . He admitted It and it didn't bother me that he was doing his job but feeders aren't illegal if I'm not using to my advantage for hunting so clearing my camera just so he could maybe make a case made me pretty ill.

I always heard a GW had more search and seizure power than the
FBI. No warrants needed. Locked gates ? LOL Have you ever seen the huge key ring a Warden has of masters ? Its terrifying to think Troy was once that powerful !!! LOL If Troy still had those powers I would tell him Hillary has Alabama animals in her possession that were taken unlawfully ! Sic'em boy !!!! LOL

Typical newbie, Gotho ! It is better to remain silent and be thought stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt !
