Warden was Cool has hell wish I could remember his name, he was probably my age now back then. He let me slide on license, I was lucky Spanish fort had a late hunter education class that year, so I was able to take it and purchase my license. There's a long story as to why he along with a few deputies showed up at the camp, I'll pm you the rest of the story later grin

Well I talked to the warden today everything on my property is good to go. They have had some complaints of illegal activity in the area of the property so that's why they are around. That's all I am going to say on a open forum thanks to the folks that sent me contact info for them. I will add it was a very nice conversation and he knows what I drive and where I park and said he wouldn't come in there if he knew I was in there hunting so he wouldn't disturb my hunt.

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

I wonder if he is a black female TSA agent that works in B'ham. When flying to AZ for an archery elk hunt, I was checking my bow in and opened the case for the agent and said, It's a bow and some arrows. She asked "Is it loaded?" In order to get through and not cause her pain, I just said "No, it's not loaded".

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

David that's priceless ! I got in hot water once for helping another member get his new bow sighted in at our hunting club camp. There was a big sign that said "NO FIREARMS FIRED ON THIS PROPERTY" It seems the president considered a bow a firearm. He got furious when I ask him to show me some fire on a bow.

I think he means you just couldn't shoot them on the camp property.

my bad, I see that now.

I read it no firearms allowed. makes more sense now. still an odd rule, I haven't been to many hunting camps I wouldn't sleep better with a pistol by my bed

So you can't use a bow or a gun at that club?

You can't fire a gun at the camp, where people sleep, not the hunting land.

This, don't know why so many honest people are afraid or dislike wardens. They have prolly one of the tougher jobs in LEO imo

we came out opening day of season last year and had our 2 local guys sitting at the trucks. they just asked for us to show them where we were hunting, looked around for bait, etc, were super nice about it. we talked to them for an hour probably. gave us all their cards and cell phone numbers. ive called them with questions since then.

as long as they don't come busting up to stand at 7:30am or 4:30pm with no good reason, I have no worries about them being around.

I do have several good pictures of them from various game cameras that day.

Does anyone know if Cleburne County ever got a new Warden... I know the last one retired. He was a good one.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.
