For the first time ever I have pictures of two wardens on a trail camera. This is my second year hunting this piece of property and I have all my paperwork in order and I am pretty sure the folks hunting the adjoining land is the reason the wardens came by. I try to get along with everyone and be courtesy to other hunters but this maybe a long season. I thought about calling the warden office and just trying to talk to them but at the same time I don't want come across like hey why are you checking my stand? Anyone else ever have a situation like this?

That's interesting, but I bet they might like to know you are interested in the right way.

Someone tipped them off that you aren't on the up and up. If you are on the up and up, I would maybe invite them out there and show them your property and assure them that you have nothing to hide. If they got a tip you're breaking the rules, they're likely going to keep checking your property til they catch you out there. If you invite them out, they may quit checking if they see you're doing it the right way.

I hunt and do everything safely and legally just don't want to come across the wrong way if that makes sense.

I'd just invite them to come to a cook out and feel free to drop by anytime. They will be happy to join you and share a meal.

If you are all legal then you don't have anything to worry about.

Yep. Show them you have nothing to hide and they'll probably leave you alone. They're going to try to catch you hunting if you don't.

Why would you not do this immediately? I sure would want to know why they were on my property, whether they're scoping out adjoining land or have some kind of allegation about me or my land. Either way, they're not off-limits. Call the district office and find out.

had it happen to me 4 years ago, I posted the picture on here and found out his name, called him up and he explained to me that they were working a case on poachers on some land adjacent to ours. Not that he needed the welcome, but i told him he could come through anytime he needed to catch them.

It sounds like they were there for a reason.

I've got dozens of pictures from last year alone from one passing through to the neighboring property. My bets are they heard you are an outlaw and are looking for you, that or they are looking for the ugliest person in the county smile

My buddy in Lowndes County said they have a beagle that will track you to your stand (saw his truck at the gate). They wrote his friend a ticket for not having a copy of his lease.
