I was wondering if anyone on here has been to 13th ST BBQ in Ladonia/Phenix City off of 80W?
Was recently in that area, but they were closed.
Wondering if I should make a trip back there for the food.

They have several locations here in PC and Columbus. Excellent bbq.
If you stay on hwy 80 and continue into PC, Mike and Eds BBQ is on the right about 5 miles down and is as good or better.

Didn't realize they have multiple locations.
I was hoping one of the rural Lee Co guys would see this and have insight.
We have Mike and Eds here in Auburn and I'm a big fan.
I also didn't realize that Mike and Eds had several locations for the longest time either.

I'm about 3 miles from the one on Hwy 80. Mike and Eds is better.

What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

Local guys saying the local place isn't that great, not going to make a special trip but if I find myself over in near the Lee/Russel Co line area I'll have to stop in and at least give it a shot.

I'm fairly familiar with Mike and Eds, what is it about 13th St that you prefer?

Live in Phenix City for all my life and eaten at both too many times to count. Both are extremely good and even Smokey Pig Bar-B-Que can be added to the mix.
We just do Bar-B-Que right here in Phenix City!!!

Eaten there a few times but no comparison to the real Chicken Comers of many many years ago. Current day, to me, meat isn't as tasty or as good and the sauce is similar but not even close in comparison to years ago and not as preferable to the sauce served at 13th street, Country's or Smokey Pig bar-b-que restaurants.

You are correct about the old days. A $4.00 plate was the way to go.
