I hunt 10-15 minutes from Bankhead, the deer usually rut around Christmas where I hunt That picture quality is pretty dang good for a camera phone, you have the new iPhone? I have an IPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 and 6 plus takes great pictures. Only bad thing about them is the picture properties give away your time, date and location... Well, I'll be. It sure does. 10/12/16 5:25AM You reckon they had an archery season youth hunt on the 12'th? how can you see the date/time

So is this a good kill or not? That's one thing about an Iphone, the date and time is always right. If the picture is dated and time stamped 10/12/16 at 5:25 AM like some of the guys are saying and it was killed in AL, then the guy should probably expect a visit from some of B'ham Fred/Troy's buddies in the near future. Time and date stamped pics are fully admissible in court as evidence and bow season opened 10/15/16 so I'd take that for what it's worth.

Really impossible to prove, don't screenshots also get timestamps? Not to play amateur lawyer, but he woke up the Wednesday morning before season thinking about deer and screenshot a kill from last year to be the opening day hero.

I just did it for myself and it's as they say. 10/12/16 at 5:25AM. The properties also say it was a screen shot, so it's either a previously killed deer, or it was killed before season.

Help me understand why when I click on the picture and select the option to save it, it registers "Wednesday", but the time shows 10:25 am. Obviously, it's not that dark at 10:25 in the morning which makes 5:25 am seem more viable. I'm using an IPhone 6.

So it was a screenshot taken at 10:25AM on October 12th.

It's very easy to check and fully admissible. Get his phone and check the properties on the pic. Not only will it be time and date stamped as to when the original was taken but it will also contain the gps coordinates of exactly where the pic was taken. I know of a case made recently where Marine Police/G&F made illegal snapper catch case based on photos of the fish taken in federal waters (snapper currently closed in federal waters) according the GPS coordinates on pictures taken by other people on the boat. Authorities can take your phone and retrieve any pictures on it that you may have deleted. They got a third guy for destroying evidence and claiming he didnt take any pics on the trip during his interview. I know the guy that did the investigation and he said he knew they caught them in federal waters and knew they were lying about it so he went all in and busted the whole lot of them. Told me that the technology of smart phones really helps them now days.

Probably camped there that night.... Looking pretty bad though

Ahh heck, ain't gonna amount to nothing anyway. In Winston County, sometimes you just got to get the hay in the barn before the farmer down the street steals your hay.
Happens often there during turkey season - with their April 1 start date.

Look back at his last years buck on 10/29/15, the date and time on the picture are from 2 days before when he posted and claimed to have killed the buck. I think he is a "catfish" hunter.

What are the chances he'll come back on here and offer up an explanation?

Well, he was last online at 1:27pm today and by that point the cat was out of the bag. You know he checked the thread and didn't try to defend himself so what does that tell you?
