In 25 years of planting fields we've never had an issue planting in mid to late Sept., but this year broke the streak. Last weekend we put out fertilizer, cultipacked our clover only fields and got everything preped, but did not put out the seed. In Jackson Co. how late can you plant both fall mixes and perennial clover fields? Not sure if clover needs an earlier start b/c it seems to grow slower than cereal grains.
