I'd focus on the area around county road 1 part of the forest. I hunt down that way but I run my squirrel dogs on the shooting range side. Between me and the old guys that squirrel hunt that part we keep the woods pretty shot up.

If you see an old man driving a Toyota with a dog box in the back stay away from him that old codger is crazy as hell. I've heard him and his brother tied the game warden to a tree and threw his pistol in the river

I hunt the forest more than the wma so I'm not limited on days that I can gun hunt. I've never even paid attention to the zones it's a fairly new thing. I know one zone bucks have to have 3 on one side or something like that

Another thing I don't do down there is walk around much. I find a good looking spot on Google earth and go hunt it or if I find it while squirrel hunting I hunt it the next season. More often than not my first time in there is when I kill deer. If you have any other questions just shoot me a pm

I was readying the regs and want to get something straight. Bowhunting, I'm allowed a buck and a doe a day until end of season?
Is there anyway I can shoot 2 does and no bucks?

I would also suggest that you look and see what the Corps of Engineers has in the area. It is all bowhunting land that is under utilized with all that is required is a permit. A quick glance shows they have plenty not too far from Tusc. in Miss. and some in Pickens Co. http://www.sam.usace.army.mil/Missions/Civil-Works/Recreation/TennesseeTombigbee-Waterway/Maps/
