Took my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter crappie fishing on the ala.river"dallas county"sunday.I fished soapstone banks and even tried some slue's and didn't get a bite.We were fishing with minnows.Is it to early for crappie?I feel like I let my kids down even though they had a good time I don't want them to think their daddy can't fish.any help?

I talk to the fish, I talk to myself, I think fishing, I think about fish and I wonder why I am sitting in my office tapping out this tale and not somewhere ripping lips right now.
