What kind of motor is that? It almost looks like one of the old Chrysler outboards. If it is, save your $1700, they were terrible motors.
I bought a similar boat years ago that someone had traded in at a Marina. I paid $1500 for a 15 ft boat that had a 75hp Evinrude. The marina even did a compression check on the outboard. I think $1700 may be a touch high.
