The jackson Co. poachers you speak of where baiting them with corn in an apple orchard, then driving up in the middle of the night with spotlights. The man who owned the land was the only name on the crop damage permit. It plainly stated no antlered bucks. As far as I know he personally never fired a shot. The guys who shot all the deer were hunting horns, I'm not sure if they even shot any does. They killed at least a dozen rack bucks in september that year. Two of which where huge. They already had the two big deer at the taxidermist when they finally got caught. They barely got a slap on the wrist for it. One of them is still one of the biggest night hunters around.

Poaching up here in Jackson Co. is a serious problem, yet nothing ever seems to get done about it. Even if you call and report it, nobody seems to care.
