ain't seen a deer crop damage permit in several years, BUT the last ones I saw said NO BUCKS....this came after some good ole boys were 'trophy hunting" big bucks in Aug/Sept on one of em crop damage permit. Chit hit the fan, prolly mid 80's?????
I refused to issue crop damage permits for summer killing unless the landowner could show me where they made an effort to kill does during legal season. Damn sure wasn't going to let some big buck hunters kill does in the summer just because they didn't want to mess up their buck hunting in Dec and Jan.
