I bought a small 13 ft gheenoe style fiberglass boat. No motor. It has a florida hull number on it and some old stickers. I have a bill of sale. But he doesnt have a the title. Any help here? I plan on putting a motor on it.

If registering in AL, you'll need the bill of sale and his current registration. Don't need a title in AL for boats.

You will need serial numbers off hull and engine too.

Ask Klay on here, he buys and sells boats pretty regular and could probably point you in the right direction.

Go to the court house with the bill of sale, the Florida registration numbers, and the hull ID. They should be able to pull it up. If not, they have a number to the marine police that you call. They will clear it, then you get a tag. If your not going to use a motor, you don't need to register it.

If you don't put a motor on it you don't need it registered. Also all you need is a bill of sale if you do.

Walker County requires a notarized bill of sale for anything being registered. Some counties do not.
