Confirmed my suspicions today. Was pretty sure but got photo evidence now. Never had a place with hogs. How do they impact deer hunting? I am excited to have some additional targets, but hope to be able to put some deer in the freezer too

Yes - they impact deer hunting - how significantly depends on the habitat and hog population. I've watched deer completely calm, be be run off by hogs - to which the hog(s) died.
Ultimately, unless you are very aggressive with removing the hogs - based on personal experience i believe they have a pretty significant impact on deer hunting. I know folks like extend their hunting seasons and hunt them, but I despise them with a great passion.

It really depends. I've hunted places that never had hogs and they show up and deer disappear. Then I've hunted places that have had hogs for years and the deer hunting was really good. You won't know till you start hunting it really.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Hogs move around a bunch. You may not have any come hunting season.

They will tear up your food plots, but I have not seen that they interupt deer hunting. They also give you something to shoot during the off season.

Had hogs on my place from the middle of deer season till the beginning of turkey season. Only had pictures of about 4. I was scared they were about to start taking over but they moved on. Haven't seen any or any sign of them since the beginning of March.

We had hogs show up briefly on our property back in August of 2012, only saw one buck the entire season and only a few does. Prior to that we had trail cameras full of pics each week. The hogs moved on but it took a little over a year before the deer really showed back up.

This place has had hogs for a while. I have pics of deer and then hogs and then deer again. New to me place, just trying to figure out what to expect. Found a nice shed today I posted in the serious forum.

They'll eat the hell out of your acorns and deer won't get them as much. I've had less deer sightings on my place since we started having hogs!!

We had some hogs move in several years ago. Hunted day and night about two weeks and killed around twenty. Then a couple years ago saw some sign but they must have moved on cause we never saw any. Neither time was deer hunting affected.
