Well the chicken has finally come home to roost. If I understand this correctly the original law passed back in 1998. Now in one move the AG closes the "loophole" banned the sale of these firearms. I'm sure a lot of people in the state kind of forgot about the passage of the law. I am sure they got numb to the restrictions. Oh no flash suppressor, no adjustable stock etc??? Oh well at least they have not banned them completely. Now they wake up one day and bam you can't purchase one period!!

Oh and anything purchased prior to today is still legal to possess. These good people purchased these guns in good faith from those evil manufacturers thinking that these firearms are safe. Well the good AG says they can keep them for now basically just because they didn't know any better. What a crock.

It is interesting to me that right in their own article they point out the fact that
"Fewer than a quarter of guns used in crimes come from Massachusetts retail sales, he said. The rest are illegal or come from out of state", yet they want to ban the people from making LEGAL purchases.

"Weapons like the AR-15 are the gun of choice for mass shooters, Healey said, used in shootings in Orlando, Baton Rouge, Dallas, Sandy Hook and San Bernardino" It's also interesting that they only have five examples to point out, but somehow that makes the AR the "weapon of choice for mass shooters.

They also conveniently leave out the fact that in at least three of their cited cases... the shooter practiced or had been a practicing moo-slim.

The only thing stopping bad guys with guns are good guys with guns.

Yep, I've heard very little about it. Everyone was so focused on the RNC this week.
