It's not that hard to have a successful club!! Have good rules on membership, deer harvest and have a good leader(s).
No, just because you buy a membership, doesn't mean your entire family can hunt!!! And no, you can't have guests all the time!
Also, part of being a good member is like being a good spouse. You cannot be greedy and you need to be the best member you can be.
If there is not a rule to stop a member from doing whatever it may be, then you can't get mad about it if that member does it!!!! Don't say that you don't like a lot of rules then someone drives past your stand at 4 pm on a Saturday evening and there is no rule against it, you can't get mad!! Make a rule against it!
Rules are not a bad thing.
Like-minded hunters are a MUST!! If you're a mature buck hunter, you cannot hunt with a guy that wants to shoot 2 yr old bucks. And not shooting 2 yr old bucks doesn't make you a trophy hunter... it means that you're into deer management for the greater good of the herd.
