I haven't been keeping up but are they changing the feeding laws here next year? Someone just called me and said you can hunt directly over bait/feed this year.

No changes. I don't know where people get their info but I answer that question almost daily.

That is correct. You only get a ticket if you get caught. rofl

Same regulations as last year.

CornCheck would solve this problem.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I just don't see how corn can be that much of a game changer. I may be missing something, but I do very well without it and I don't worry about getting a ticket. It may make deer come running to you, but I just can't see hauling corn to the woods to hunt.

Teacher, deer do eat it and it can change things. But we grew up in Bama without it so we're not used to it. Folks in states where its' legal and has been don't see the big deal and think anyone is silly for the stance of "You ain't a real hunter if you use it!" Just differences in opinion.

Do bucks come to the corn in the daylight hours, or is it just does and fawns. I have read on here a lot about mature bucks not feeding until after dark. Just curious.

With the drought we are having, corn may be too expensive this year to purchase. This may put a damper on a lot of baiting next year.

I may be in the minority, but I don't see corn being that big of a gamechanger anyway. In my personal experience, it doesn't do a particularly good job bringing deer into a place they didn't want to go to begin with.

Now, if the deer were traveling through that spot to begin with, it might stop them long enough to get a shot, but I've also seen them totally ignore an area despite putting corn there.

just my $.02

Everyone's personal experiences will be different because all deer, scenarios, variables and such are different. That doesn't mean something is right or wrong or works always or never works.
