Leroy I appreciate the thought. Those photos are for the most part the result of me just walking to the bathroom in the morning. I can only wear flip flops. If I wore shoes I honestly feel my toes would slide / melt off. Jeeze I don't understand the process for disability. Previously, they ruled that I could do substantial work. The ONLY JOB THAT I THOUGHT I COULD DO BETTER WAS DETERMING IF SOME WAS DISABLED MUCH MORE SO THEN OUR GOVERNMENT.

My neighbor that is passed away got his quick. He contacted our senator about it and had it within a couple of months. He lasted less than a year after that. He was getting the run around until he did that. What drives me crazy is the people that are legit and deserve have the hardest time getting it. Now if you are fat and lazy and just to sorry to work or tell them you have a drug or mental problem they will put them on it quick. It just kills me to see these sorry ass young people now with the disability placards on their mirror when you know their only disability is they won't get away from the plate at the kitchen table. Look at some of those riding the little carts at Walmart. They have about two foot of ass hanging over each side of the seat. Walmart is going to have to add more batteries to haul them around. Just my two cents worth.

I work with a young lady who is paralyzed from the waist down and gets around very well in a wheelchair. She tells everyone she is not disabled and never misses a day of work. I wonder how many folks receive disability that aren't nowhere near her physical condition.

I also know several folks that receive 100% disability and still manage to hunt every day of the year. It is about time SSA took a look at them and reviewed their claims. Either you are disabled or you are not.

I believe you are referring to the ones abusing the system. You, along with everyone else, are tired of the abuse of your tax dollar with ALL gov't systems. But I believe hunting and fishing can actually be beneficial to the disabled. I also believe the ownership of a good dog will help these people a lot. What sets me off is the abuse of parking spaces.

At least this was what a friend of mine was told by her lawyer..

You must be out of work 6 months, expect the condition to last 12 months or more, or be fatal.

There are plenty of people who abuse the system, and people who don't report them are also part of the problem. If you know someone who is on disability and truly should not be, report em. SSA Office of Inspector General online fraud reporting form

U.S. Mail: Social Security Fraud Hotline
P.O. Box 17785
Baltimore, Maryland 21235

Telephone: 1-800-269-0271 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

You can report anonymously. I worked for a disability firm for a few years and saw people get paid disability who shouldn't have received it, and some folks who did deserve it who never got it. But most of the folks who received disability payments were in really bad shape
