First nice fish.
Second....Looks like a Hybrid to me. And it looks like a dang good one.
I too have never seen or caught a Rockfish with lateral lines like that so I'm gonna have to agree with buzzard. Ain't too big to be a hybrid in my opinion.

Well I don't really know since he's got it stuck way out and his hand under the belly. It is a nice fish regardless.
However for it to be a Striper that means someone put it in there. Gulf or Atlantic and I've never seen one with broke up lateral lines like that and that's about all I've fished for 35 years and big cats. The odds of an oddball are just not there for me, but whatever I am not expert and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express.... so don't really care. Call it a shark if you want.
