A friend of mine has had 3 major heart attacks and is physically not able to work. He cannnot get unemployment because being sick doesn't qualify you for that. He has been trying for almost a year to get disability and all he gets is the run around, paper work on top of paper work, doctor letters, hospital files and now the latest they want to send him to see a phycologist.
The man is in late 50's worked all his life and paid into the system and now he may loss everything he's worked for just to survive. Is this really the way that system works?


He needs an attorney. Generally, down here, if they take your case, they can receive 25% of the retroactive check from the onset date of the disability, up to $6000, for their fee.

I am NOT an attorney, but I feel he needs one at this point.
