shingles can be effectively treated using homeopathic remedies. next time youre willing to try anything to get relief try some ranunculus bulbosus or rhus toxicodendron along with some elderberry. I have seen my grandmother get pretty quick relief from debilitating pain from shingles using these. I have used them on some pretty rough viruses with my kids too, like hand foot mouth. elderberry alone worked like magic on my youngest son. great for the common cold too. something else that works for rashes, sores & bug bites etc is drawing a hot bath with about a dozen drops of tea tree oil.

I find it interesting how different ailments hurt folks in different ways. I passed one kidney stone and it was just tiny grains of sand that about killed me. Gout has about killed me way over a thousand times. I had shingles once and for me it really wasn't that big of a deal compared to gout or kidney stone. But, doctors were handing out Percocet's like candy for shingles. The doctors seem to think the shingle pain was much worse and treated accordingly. For me Shingles was a 2 and Gout a 10.

Hopefully, yours will ease up. It's been about 15 years since I had shingles hopefully yours stay away also.

I got a case of them towards the end of last hunting season. My brother was coming to hunt with me the weekend after they kicked in so I felt like I had to go to the woods. I was worried about the pain while trying to hunt but The Lord took care of me and it wasn't too bad. I would call it very uncomfortable rather than very painful. Not even in the same league as my kidney stone.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Just got over a case myself. Prayers for you.

I thought I was coming down with them last week. Had 2 small rashes on my back bout the size of a silver dollar. It was the worst back pain I've ever had and lasted about 3 days.

I had them and thought it was poison oak to start with till I popped some of the blisters. Wrong thing to do. Got worse went from middle back to front. Like a red wasp stinging you.

I had shingles last fall. Whole left side of trunk. Wasn't that bad as long as I kept ibuprofen in me. Never even missed work. I also don't get poison oak or poison ivy and mosquito bites and tick bites don't itch me. May just be something in my skin. If it is I'm grateful for it.
