I once had a guy call the police on me for "stealing his receiver hitch". He watched me take it. I was in law school at the time and lived in some apartments. I told him to please call the police. When they got there I admitted I took it from his truck. Then I turned it over and shows them where it had my granfather's name scratched on it. He put his name or initials on everything, even tools. My grandmother had given it to me, I had never had a vehicle with a receiver before and my grandparents had about 10 of them laying around.
I told the cops my roommate saw that guy steal it off my truck a few days before. I thought that dumbass was going to shucks on himself.
