Westervelt has 817 acres on County Rd 9 that has Schultz creek running thru property. I went to look at property today and it looks to be very promising. Land is $9.80 acre. Basscat has hunted this property and said definitely could kill couple trophies every year on this property with low member ratio. Seen turkey tracks as well for all you turkey hunters. The buck that won the big buck contest at the Birmingham deer show last year killed by Bo Holcumb was killed on this property, I think it was a 15pt scoring 168" or around that. As far as numbers of deer it's probably not the best place but it does contain a few trophy deer and you will be able to kill some deer depending on whatever rules you decide on. I had pics of 3 over 120" on camera and I know over the past three years there were at least 6 trophy deer taken off this property with my son taking one of them (215 pound 8pt that scored 125") and seeing another but no shot however it had low pressure. Only a few people hunted the 820 acres. It has 12 nice size food plots and a big clear cut that should be better this year.

I have had a few PM's inquiring about what I would like as goals and rules etc on forming a club on this property. if I was going to start a club, I would like to practice QDM 31/2 or older. 3 Bucks per Membership. Does would vary pending on sitings or requirements per westervelt. Safety would be #1 priority. Sign in/out by section or stand #. Pretty much common sense rules that as a new club we could decide on. With lease, one time litter deposit, insurance, food plots I estimate a budget of $10,000 to start club. As far as members, I would like to keep members as low as possible to keep pressure low but understand this could be unrealistic to everyone's budget on hunting. I do have tractor and would be willing to help with food plots etc. I feel this would be a great long term location with great potential with proper management. Any more questions just let me know. This looks like it could be a good place. That has some pretty big food plots and a nice creek.
