I would like to think that our country and it's military was/is better than that. Maybe not.
It is. But that's not the point.
The point is you said you oppose those tactics. Those tactics still happen today.
Just because it happens between black people in an African nation, and nations, doesn't mean it's still not worth opposing. Unless, of course, just because "they" are doing it "over there" then it doesn't really matter.
