I think I found the right Dewayne Holley.

Take your kids hunting instead of hunting your kids.

I'd rather be LOST in the woods than FOUND in the city.

I'm on there too. Great way to keep up with my wheeling friends, and plan rides.

I have an account, but hardly ever look at it. I use it to try to keep up with family in Alaska, Georgia etc.

For the "ain't that a teenage girl" and "man card" people, that's fine to think that way. Wrong, but you're entitled.

FB has its warts and users should be wary of some of their "let's all be friends" access ideas. There are ways to block or not accept those, though.

But even better, FB is a good way to keep up with family (including your kids and their friends), old friends you've lost touch with and people elsewhere.

I have friends across the nation I can ask something and get a reply, phone number, info or background on someone. I can see if someone's online and make a phone call, knowing they're there.

For business purposes, if used wisely, Facebook and Twitter are fantastic ways to promote your event, product or keep your name in people's minds.

This site you're on now is nothing more than FB for outdoorsmen. It's all the same -- social media, and "media" in this case is the general term and not "news media" like TV, newspapers or radio. Social media is people getting together in online forums for specific or diverse topics.
