Hoping is a marginal tactic. I agree with you about this guy; he's not doing what a successful turkey hunter does; I can't find hope in my turkey pouch.
Your just argumentative and playing semantics. The place is a known field that gobblers are killed in and around. He is "waiting" on the turkey to walk out. When you go hunting do you not HOPE a turkey gobbles? When you set up do you HOPE the turkey fly's down your way?
OH! Look, I'm not trying to be argumentative with you; I assumed from your first post, the way you had it written, that the guy was just going to some random field & just sitting there & hoping a gobbler would eventually walk by... You didn't say it was a field that was a "known field that gobblers are killed in"...
