Only worked 2 birds all year and hunted 2 traditionally prime properties. I didn't get to hunt as much as I usually do because of t-ball but there were just a lack of workable birds this year. Most days I might hear one bird gobble once or twice on the roost then they'd be done. I tried every trick in the book and hunted every part of the day and just couldn't make it happen this go around. I think I only hunted 12 times and probably only half of those were non hurricane force winds or rain. Just one of those years I reckon, last year I killed 3 in the first 3 days and missed 4 more and called in another 5 for buddies so this year was the extreme opposite, such is turkey hunting. Next year I'll be going back to my Tennessee places.
I did kill a crippled jake that couldn't walk or fly so not all was lost ha ha
