Congrats truedouble. That's some nice Spurs. Also, I'm not sure how picky the scorers are when it comes to pic submissions because this is my first year in the contest, but you may want to put up a pic with you and the bird if they are usually picky.

Had a close encounter today walking down a logging road. Gobbler heard me walking and was just off the road. I heard it take a couple steps and I froze. He was standing 35 yards looking for me. My gun was over my shoulder. He didn't spook so I'm going back in there tomorrow. I watched one strut for over an hour in the same area a week or 2 ago

I believe I was very close to you when you killed that last one up there. Heck we may have been after the same bird. I heard him 2 days before. You shot before I even got close enough if it was you. Lol

Yeah, I had been hunting him for a long time. He wouldn't come to a call. I knew where he was going depending on where he roosted so when I heard him across the creek I crossed the creek and beat him in there. Didn't even call to him that day.
If you heard him 2 days before that, it was the day he gobbled 2-300 times

Finally got some points guys, this will probably be all though unless another gobbler moves in. Tough year for me, but it sure felt good to tote one out of the woods this morning.
