One of my wife's friends has a 1870 wellbuilt boat with a 70 hp. Johnson 4 stroke. Her grandfather fished out of it 3 or 4 times and passed away. Boat may have are 30 hrs. On it. Any idea on a value?

Great boat. Hav a 16/52 and love it.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I'd value the motor at 5k if it is a 2005 model with 30 hours.
The boat and trailer is worth about 2-3k alone.
Figure all the electronics, trolling motor, fire extenguiser, fuel tanks etc. 1k
I'd say $7,500 on the low end, $10,000 if somebody really wants that particular boat.

look the motor up on NADA. If that's a Ficht fuel injected motor it wiould have a significant negative effect IMHO.

Well I put it on the water today. She will stroll along pretty dang good. On the way back to the house I stoped and picked up a new set of bearings to put on the trailer. This is goin to make someone a dang nice rig.
