Any non rubber boot is gonna leak how quick vAries with time and miles. I have a pair of jackals and pronghorns, jackals being my favorite of the two. Rustolem offers a great water barrier if needed. It's mostly a goretex prob and not boot design prob, I think goretex only offers a year warranty.
