Southwood7, that's the ghost of turkey hunters past punishing you for not telling of where gobbling birds are located that you are not hunting yourself. Only one way to reconcile that bad juju.

Congrats guys! I hate turkeys. The last two mornings I had a bird gobble ONE time around 745 and not make another sound. That's been the past 10 days for me with a few silent mornings in there too.

First 20 gauge bird for me this morning to finish my AL season. Truly blessed again! I don't deserve them, but the Lord let me have another great hunt!
Congrats. You'll retire the heavy 12 now.

Thanks Mike! Congrats to you as well. I grew up in Jasper. Do you hunt there local also, or just live there?

Congrats. You'll retire the heavy 12 now. I don't know. That ole 12 has got lots of experience, which is worth something. It's also really balanced with some custom work that I spent some time getting like I wanted.

Thanks Mike! Congrats to you as well. I grew up in Jasper. Do you hunt there local also, or just live there? both. I'm currently working during the week in Montgomery, but I'm in jasper on the weekends. I have a couple of spots I hunt around jasper.

Man what a day. Heard 10 different birds. Got caught less than 75 yds from a roosted bird at sun up gobbled his head off but knew we were there. Got on the next bird about 300yds away. Had him a few steps away from flopping when a doe smelled us and ran past the bird spooking him. He started gobbling again about 200yds away but was set on moving away from us. After 3 different set ups and 3hrs we finally got to a spot that he liked. Rolled him at 45yds with a load of TSS. 10" beard 1" spurs.

Congrats to all that scored today. I heard one gobble good and got to work him. My shooter saw him and I heard him drum several times. He had a hen with him and wouldn't leave her.
