Well...I had one working good this morning. He was coming in hot but when he stepped out in the field and saw my hen and strutter jake decoy, he turned and hauled ass. I'm not sure what kind of sissy longbeard is scared of a jake, but he sure as hell was.

woke up with 100 degree fever and my throat feels like I've swallowed razor blades. Didn't make it out today and that sucks because I could've hunted til 11 or so.

Sorry to hear that doc. Hope you get to feeling better. I tested myself at work today and got the Flu, so I know what ya feeling. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
To those that killed congrats guys. Some fine looking birds.

An old Boar Tom that I've tried to fool with a couple times already roughed me up pretty good again today. I at least got to see him good but he was too far to shoot at.
Congrats Boff!

Zero gobbles on roost so I go set up in a small field where we've killed 4 this year. I sit there calling very little. Still no gobbles so around 8:30 I stand up to sneak out and there's a hen that I couldn't see in the field. She flies off so I sit back down. I make a few excited hen yelps and he fires up at about 200 yards. He gobbles at everything for the next 30 min. but he's across property line. Had to leave him.
