My dad came down from Nashville to see the 6 month old baby. Took him this morning, I was on the camera. He shot a stud, 1" Spurs, 19lb, double beard 12.75" and 10.75". 86.0" bird. Oh well. There are more to be killed. Was fun. [img:center]  [/img]

I hope you guys are right and there turning on! I should to get a chance to get back after em in the morning. there haven't been any gobbling coming from the roost area I shot the one from last week so, i'm going prospecting hoping to find one that wants to play.

Congrats Ben! As windy as it was I got on one that gobbled about 30x this morning, he was just off the back side of a green field in some open row pines with waist high saw briers. Perfect setup for him to pitch down in to the plot, instead he pitched down to a hardwood drain back behind him. I couldn't get in front of him from where I was, so Guess I'll be there waiting in the hardwoods next time.

Again so close but so far away yesterday
Had a bird get hot about 10:15 and gobbled 50+ times from then to 11:00. Did everything right, little purring every so often, scratched leaves, he closed to 80 yards, got in road and went the other way
