Nothing happening here in Barbour County. I'll stick it out until 8:30 and then pack up for my 823 mile drive back to Chicago. In five days, called in one jake to 15 yards and yesterday some hens. Back here in January for deer.

I think these birds have been messed with some. I had one gobble good this morning, he flew down into the field, strutted, gobbled at everything then instead of coming to my decoys headed to the opposite corner of the field! I slipped around & got in front, but never got close enough. I could call him close enough to see, but no closer.

What the heck is yellow leaf? Yellowleaf is a good size creek that runs thru a good portion of eastern shelby county. It runs into the Coosa river at the steam plant in Wilsonville. He finally got cranked up about 0620 but was across a county road. Sitting here seeing ig he is going to come in. Got to run by a doctors office and talk to him around 0930. So I got about hour an half or so to sit here. Scott
