I have a vinyl kit on my turkey gun and it's starting to get pretty trashed. I'm thinking about having it hydro dipped or maybe cerakoted. Any idea the difference in cost, and how durable is the hydro dipping? My only hesitation on cerakoting is limited camo options. But it's been several years since I had my rifle done so maybe the options have grown.

I had PRB, (Dip2Design)on here dip a couple guns for me. He does great work and for a reasonable price.
Seems very durable also.

Cerakote the action and all metal parts then rattle can it as needed. Tired of the pattern, spray it off with brake clean and do a different pattern.

Cerakote in different colors, say barrel flat black, receiver OD green and so on. Dip the stock and forearm of paint it masking off the checkering. Or just paint the whole thing.

I always just spray paint mine with krylon or duracoat. Start light colors and work towards the darker colors. I put tree limbs, pine needles, and leaves on the gun then spray a color, let dry, repeat with another color. Usually comes out really nice.
