Went this morning and had a lot of birds gobbling. Went to check a field about 9:30 and nothing, so I cut real loud and I shock gobbled one out the back of the field.. Couldn't do anything with him so I decided I would come back this eve and give him a try. Got set up on the field around 3, I would call every 15-20 minutes and at 4:00 he steps out.. He comes into the field and sees my decoy, but pays no attention to it.. He gets to about 50 yards and I click the safety off, but don't feel comfortable trying it since he was still feeding, so I turned my head and called and he couldn't stand it.. He quit eating and came right at me, never looked at my decoy.. But came to 25 steps and I let him have it.. Solid 3 year old
